Nguyen Van Loi, Secretary of provincial Party Committee receives and works with Oh Dongkun, General Director of Becamex Tokyu Co., Ltd.

At the working session, Mr.Loi thanked and spoke highly of Tokyu Group's projects investing in Binh Duong with many remarkable results. He said that currently 15 kilometers of the province’s Public Traffic Infrastructure Improvement Project, supported by Japanese ODA loans, coincide with the Government's Ho Chi Minh City bet road 3 project. Previously, when the project was approved, the Government did not have a policy to build the belt road 3 in Ho Chi Minh city. The belt road 3 at the section through Binh Duong province is about 26km long, of which the My Phuoc - Tan Van section overlaps with the BRT project for 15kilometers while the remaining 11kilometers are being deployed. According to the policy,  the 15-km section coincides with the BRT project will be built into an overpass with 4 lanes, connecting Ho Chi Minh city along the belt road 3 to Binh Duong. Thus, for the BRT section overlaps with the overpass, Binh Duong is initially planning to switch it to an underground tunnel.

Mr. Loi affirmed that Binh Duong will implement this project. Currently, the province is submitting it to competent authorities for early approval and implementation on schedule. Thus, for the project to achieve the highest efficiency as well as tightening the relationship between Japan and Vietnam in general, and between Tokyu and Binh Duong in particular, the two sides need time to adjust the project together. He requested provincial Department of Foreign Affairs to coordinate with Tokyu to soon work with the Japan International Cooperation Agency to reach a consensus on policies to adjust the project.

Mr. Oh Dongkun said that he and Japanese partners in general and Tokyu Group in particular will further accompany and support the development of Binh Duong province, tapping opportunities and expanding cooperation in many fields together, continuing implementing projects in the coming time. He hopes that the province sees Tokyu as a family to join hands with Binh Duong to develop.
