Binh Duong to strengthen groundwater management

Morning April 24^th, Economic and Budget Board under provincial People’s Council had a meeting about “Management, exploitation, use and protection of groundwater resource in the province” with Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and leadership of localities.

Currently, the rate of groundwater used for production and domestic activities accounts for over 50% total exploited water. However, the quality of groundwater has had high risks of pollution.

Economic and Budget Board requested provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and localities to soon conduct evaluation of volume and quality of local groundwater resource, and then set up strategies to manage, exploit, use efficiently groundwater resource in the future.
