Today (October 3), the 11th provincial Youth Union Congress for the 2022-2027 tenure takes place at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center with the participation of 290 official delegates representing more than 800,000 Youth Union members and young people in the province. On this occasion, Binh Duong Newspaper had an interview with Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union about a number of issues surrounding the congress.

- The 11th provincial Youth Union Congress for the 2022-2027 tenure is a great festival of youth in the province. Could you tell us about the meaning and theme of this conference?

- The 11th provincial Youth Union congress for the 2022-2027 tenure was held to re-evaluate the results of implementing the Resolution of the 10th provincial Youth Union Congress for the 2017-2022 tenure; identify advantages and disadvantages in the last tenure while setting up orientations of the Youth Union work and teenagers-children’s movements for the 2022-2027 tenure in association with the local political requirements and tasks, needs and aspirations of children and teenagers.

With the theme of "Binh Duong’s youth unite, aspire, create, integrate, develop, build up a strong Youth Union, contributing to building Binh Duong into a modern, civilized and smart city" and the slogan of " Binh Duong youth unite, aspire, create and develop", the congress will discuss targets, tasks and solutions in the new tenure. In addition, the congress will elect the Executive Committee of provincial Youth Union for the 2022-2027 tenure with a solid political stance, pure moral qualities, and a high prestige among young people plus good working capacity in order to well lead and implement the congress's resolutions, further promoting the Youth Union's work.

- What are outstanding results in the Youth Union work and teenagers-children’s movements in the 2017-2022 tenure?

- In the 2017-2022 tenure, provincial Youth Unions at all levels were proactive in advising and continued comprehensively innovating the operational contents and forms of the Youth Union work in all fields. They focused on propagating and educating political ideology, morals, lifestyle, revolutionary traditions, the sense of law observance among young people and promoting the implementation of revolutionary action movements. They also implemented many meaningful and practical programs, projects, works, and tasks, contributing to bringing the Party’s resolutions and guidelines, the State’s policies and laws into the lives of young people while upholding the voluntary spirit of young people in participating in projects and tasks in the local socio-economic development process.

During the Covid-19 period, provincial Youth Unions at all levels established and maintained 255 youth volunteer squads with nearly 50,000 members for pandemic prevention and control, leaving a beautiful mark on society.

- How has preparatory work for the 11th provincial Youth Union Congress for the 2022- 2027 tenure implemented?

- The 11th provincial Youth Union Congress is an important political event of the local youth. The preparation for the congress has been carefully and closely carried out by the Standing Committee of the provincial Youth Union with the spirit of solidarity and high responsibility. The Standing Committee of provincial Youth Union has established a congress organizing committee, advisory subcommittees to serve the congress, assigned specific tasks to Youth Union officials, promulgated plans and documents to implement tasks and regularly checked the progress of preparatory work. The congress’s documents are made concisely, based on contributive ideas from targeted blocs and resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels, the action plan of the Youth Union to implement the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels, the State’s policies and laws related to children.

Provincial Youth Union implements works and tasks during the Youth Month 2022

Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has directed Youth Unions at all levels to organize a variety of propaganda activities to welcome the congress associated with the successful celebration of units’ Youth Union congresses through the program of "Youth Day for Action". The propaganda work has been carried out synchronously with many highly pervasive contents and plentiful forms, comprising of infographics, short clips, a set of vivid visual publications on the results of the implementation of the resolutions of the Youth Union congress... In addition, provincial Youth Unions at all levels, Youth Union members and officials have simultaneously changed their avatars to welcome the congress on Facebook and Zalo pages; organized forums, contests, activities to take care of children-teenagers and implemented youth projects to participate in socio-economic development...The Standing Committee of provincial Youth Union has been always proactive in advising and reporting the preparatory work of the congress to the Secretariat of the Youth Union Central Committee, provincial Party Standing Committee for timely direction to complete the contents on schedule, ensuring the congress to take place successfully.

- Are there any remarkable new points of the congress for the 2022-2027 tenure?

- In the organization of this congress, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has focused on applying information technology into propaganda such as implementing MV products, vivid visual propaganda trailers for the congress, performing flashmob dances before the congress opens; checking the attendance of delegates by technology; building an application that provides delegates with congress information. Especially, within the framework of the congress, delegates are able to experience the online area on the basis of 3D virtual reality space, observe many vivid images to propagate outstanding activities, effective models in the Youth Union work, teenagers-children’s movements in the last tenure.

- Which key contents will this congress propose in accordance with the Youth Union's work and teenagers-children’s movements in the new situation?

- The congress takes place in the context of the 4th industrial revolution growing strongly while Binh Duong province orients to develop, modern, civilized and smart urban areas under the Resolution of provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure. With the theme of "Binh Duong youth unite, aspire, create and develop", in the term 2022-2027, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will carry out 8 key tasks, including innovating contents and forms in education; further deploying 3 revolutionary action movements; implementing 3 programs accompanying the youth; raising awareness and responsibility of the Youth Union, Young Pioneer Association; improving the comprehensive effectiveness of international youth work; focusing on building up a strong and comprehensive Youth Union; actively participating in building and protecting the Party and the political system; renovating the advisory and directional work of the Youth Unions at all levels in accordance with the new situation. With the mission of being a reliable reserve team of the Party, Binh Duong youth will always unite, aspire, create and develop to deserve to be the young generation of a dynamic locality full of heroic traditions, contributing to building up Binh Duong with sustainable development towards a modern, civilized smart city, becoming a place worth living, working and investing in...

In the 2017-2022 tenure, most youth works met and exceeded the targets set by the resolution. Provincial Youth Union, Youth Federation, Students Association, Young Pioneer Association were awarded the excellent emulation flags in the work of the Youth Union Central Committee for many consecutive years. Especially, provincial Youth Union was honored to receive the First-class Labor Medal from the State President and the excellent emulation flag of provincial People's Committee in the patriotic emulation movement for the period of 2015-2020.
