Binh Duong youths sign up for pandemic prevention

On February 3, the Youth League at all levels in Binh Duong province simultaneously carried out "Youth Action Day" on the 91st anniversary of  the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2021).  Activities were to affirm youthful belief in the Party and bring into play the pioneering spirit, agitation and volunteer of young people in Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control.

Starting "Youth Action Day", Binh Duong provincial Youth League Standing Committee and Vietnamese Youth Federation visited the Covid-19 volunteer formation and presented 132,000 masks and 400 liters of sanitizer for volunteers and people in the province. As part of this series of activities, Binh Duong provincial Youth Leagu Standing Committee visited the Youth Volunteer Lineup in Phu Hoa in Thu Dau Mot city and coordinated to mobilize resources to support the isolated areas.

Concentrating on implementing Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control activities and supporting and at the same time encouraging physicians, soldiers and volunteers who are on the "front line" against the epidemic, together with people in the isolated area, Thu Dau Mot Youth League continued to mobilize volunteers to support the supplies for epidemic prevention and call for donors. On the other hand, Thu Dau Mot city Youth’s League received information guiding medical declaration, volunteer information and participation in supporting quarantine areas.

Youth volunteer squads at all levels of the Youth League throughout the province have also joined the army to implement "Youth Action Day", taking the lead in implementing tasks of participating in disease prevention and control. They are willing to participate in responding to any epidemic situation under the direction of local committees, authorities and steering committees of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control. As reported, Phu My ward Youth League was divided into small groups to distribute leaflets, masks, and propaganda about prevention of Covid-19 epidemic at the intersections of the My Phuoc - Tan Van - Pham Ngoc Thach route in the ward area, upholding the determination to repel the epidemic and protect everyone's health. Volunteers for quick response in Hiep Thanh ward offered 250 medical masks and instructed people on both sides of the 5.6 km long Pham Ngoc Thach route to scan the code on their phones to download Bluezone to trace further  contact and warn people of infection of Covid-19.

Also in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong provincial Youth Activities Center gave 3 boxes of masks, 50 union T-shirts, ‘duckweed’ hats, 100 gifts, 200 barrels of drinking water for people in the area of ​​Phu Hoa ward and  students in Binh Duong provincial Military School’s quarantine area. It is known that Binh Duong provincial Youth Activities Center’s Volunteer Squad will continue the activities of joining hands to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic in the days to come. Together with this activity, the Youth League of Binh Duong provincial Agencies and Enterprises donated 10,000 medical masks, 1,000 bottles of personal hand sanitizer, and 50 barrels of insecticide to the Thu Dau Mot University delegation to assist students who are in lockdown. In addition, the Secretariat of Binh Duong provincial Student Association of Vietnam donated 100 boxes of instant noodles and 7,500 medical masks to the volunteer students of Thu Dau Mot University participating in the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic.

In Tan Uyen town, Huynh Van Nghe High School students cooperated with the Green Footprint Club to implement the program of "Volunteering for the community" to distribute masks for free and guide people to install and use Bluezone application to support medical declaration. In Di An city and Bau Bang district, Youth Leagues of establishments use portable loudspeakers to propagate to everyone about Covid-19 prevention and control with 5K message of ‘Masks - Disinfection - Distance - No gathering - Medical declaration’ and participation in distributing masks, hand sanitizer, and guiding people to install Bluezone.

In order to propagate people and raise their awareness about wearing masks in public, Bac Tan Uyen Youth League has set up 11 teams of youth volunteers to prevent Covid-19 epidemic and carried out epidemic prevention activities in local markets, hostels, and industrial parks. The teams include 1 team at district level and 10 teams at commune and town levels. The teams have distributed 5,000 masks, 2,000 energy drinks cans and 5,000 leaflets propagating measures to prevent and control the epidemic. Specifically, in Tan Thanh town, the town delegation distributed 500 masks, 120 energy cans and 500 leaflets at the local market. The town delegation also organized propaganda activities to help people install Bluezone.

Do Ngoc Loi, Secretary of Bac Tan Uyen district Youth League, said youth volunteer teams in communes and towns have carried out propaganda and helped people install Bluezone. They have mobilized people from epidemic areas to participate in medical declaration and always uphold their willingness to participate in responding to all epidemic situations.

In the area of ​​Phu Giao district, the Youth Leagues at grassroots level carried out propaganda on epidemic prevention and control activities, and donated basic necessities to people in isolated areas in An Binh commune. Typically, the Youth League of An Binh commune has coordinated with departments, branches and unions to trace and mobilize people to quarantine in isolated areas. Phuoc Vinh township Youth League has mobilized young people and donors to join hands to supply necessities for the isolated area in the district.

Activities in the "Youth Action Day" focus on promoting the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic by Youth Leagues at all levels in the province to promote the spirit and youth of Binh Duong in joined hands with the entire political system and people in disease prevention and control.
