Boy battles with innate heart disease

Update: 25-06-2010 | 00:00:00

A two year old boy is struggling with innate heart disease but is unlikely to receive medical care as the costs are prohibitive. Born in 2008, Trinh Nguyen Thanh Nhan has suffered from heart disease since birth.

To save their son, Nhan's parents were told that the cost of heart surgery would amount to around US$2,950. The fee was astronomical for Son's father, Quoc. Nhan's family relies on mason. Quoc said the hospital fees would be completely out of reach for a family already struggling well below the poverty line.

The charity program hopes that donors give help to Nhan. Please contact to Binh Duong Daily’s charity program, 543 Le Hong Phong, Phu Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot town or Nguyen Nguyet Nga, team 15, quarter 7, Phu Tho ward, Thu Dau Mot town.
