Businesses’ effective operations will contribute to promoting local socio-economic development, says provincial People’s Committee Chairman Tran Van Nam

Tran Van Nam, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and representatives of some sectors in the province, on February 4, paid a working visit to Kumho Tires Vietnam Co.Ltd., Panko Vina Co.Ltd., Kaiser Vietnam Furniture Joint Stock Co. at Ben Cat town-based My Phuoc 1 and 3 Industrial Parks.

Kim Hyun Ho, General Director of Kumho Tires Vietnam Co.Ltd. under South Korea’s Kumho Asiana Group informed Mr.Nam about the company’s operations. The company’s car tires-making factory was put into operation in 2008 with initial investment capital of US$260mln and capacity of 3.22 million car tires a year that has been raised to 3.46 million car tires a year so far. Meanwhile, the company’s rubber latex-processing factory was put into operation in 2007 with capacity of 8,780 tons rubber latex a year that has increased to 12,250 tons rubber latex a year so far. The company’s total revenue in 2014 was US$152mln and is expected to reach US$181 in 2015.

Reportedly, Panko Vina Co.Ltd. obtained a 30% increase in total revenue and created stable jobs for 8,500 workers. This year, the company will expand its factory and recruit additional 1,500 workers. Its total revenue is expected to increase by 40%.

Kaiser Vietnam Furniture Joint Stock Co. now has a total of 6,000 workers with the capacity of production and export reaching 1,000 containers a month. The company is expected to further build its second factory of 30 hectares with total investment capital of around US$80mln  in Binh Duong.

After the working visit, Mr.Nam spoke highly of the above enterprises’business and production operations and affirmed that their effective operations would contribute to promoting the local socio-economic development; praised their policies for staff while saying that this was the key to their success. He also applauded their plans on production expansion and said that provincial leaders would always create the best conditions for enterprises to quickly implement their projects…

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Nam presented gifts and extended Tet greetings to leaders and staff of the above companies.
