Campaign responding to Earth Hour 2022 launched

From March 20 to 26, the Standing Committee of the provincial Youth’s League and the Vietnamese Youth Union of the province coordinated with the provincial Power Company to organize a bicycle parade in response to the Earth Hour 2022 with theme of "Shaping Our Future".

The Organizing Committee gave gifts to encourage the youth union members to volunteer and to participate in the promotion and propaganda of the Earth Hour.

The lineup with more than 20 volunteers riding bicycles paraded on roads in Thu Dau Mot city like Huynh Van Luy, 30/4, Yersin, Phu Loi, Cach Mang Thang Tam, Binh Duong Highway, Le Hong Phong etc. Contents of the dissemination are to turn off electrical equipment when not really necessary; to trash at the prescribed places; to turn off the engine when waiting for a red light for more than 25 seconds; to plant more trees; and to reduce the use of plastic waste.

The theme of "Shaping Our Future" is to call on people to participate in responding to Earth Hour 2022 with practical actions.

In addition, the squad also carried out the program of "25 seconds to turn off the car engines" to propagate people on driving vehicles and motorbikes to turn off the engine when stopping at a red light for 25 seconds or more at the intersection of Cho Dinh crossing Binh Duong Highway to reduce fuel consumption and smoke emissions into the environment; to distribute leaflets and infographics on environmental protection, ti reduce plastic waste and litter in the right places; to propagandize to save water, electricity and other energy sources, and to turn off electrical appliances when not really needed.
