 A ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of military commander and poet Huynh Van Nghe’s birthday (1914-2014) and the 37th anniversary of his death (1977-2014) was held at his commemorative house in Tan Uyen district’s Thuong Tan commune on February 15.

Forty five poor-but-excellent pupils of schools named after Huynh Van Nghe in Binh Duong and Dong Nai were also awarded scholarships worth VND1mln each at the ceremony.

 

On behalf of his family, Huynh Van Nam, the eldest son of the military commander and poet Huynh Van Nghe presented two sets of book on his father’s life and thanked the precious sentiment of the State, Party’s leaders and comrades as well as young generation to his father…
