Chinese community extends Tet wishes to local leaders

Reps of Thu Dau Mot town Chinese community yesterday extended Tet wishes to local leaders on the occasion of Lady Temple festival. The delegation said that they are grateful for local authority assistance on the festival.

The Chinese community in Thu Dau Mot town in 2010 granted gratitude and charity houses worth VND660mil to the poor and donated VND50mil to victims of flooding in central provinces and so on. The total value of charity activities was at VND1.6bil in the past year.

On behalf of the local leaders, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung hoped that the Chinese community would contribute to fulfill local programs on socio-economy and national defense as well as uphold their cultural identity in the locality.
