Water resource protection and environmental hygiene

One of the biggest risks on environment is water scarcity. Two billion people around the world now face water shortage. Hence, responding to the 2012 National Week on Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene is a significant activity, contributing to raising public awareness of environmental protection.

Under the National Target Program on Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene, Binh Duong has so far reaped many encouraging results with 65% of rural households in use of clean water, 87% of rural households with hygienic toilets and 64% of breeding facilities with waste treated…

The province will also organize such activities as planting green trees, upgrading concentrated water supply works, raising public awareness of environmental protection… in response to the 2012 National Week on Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene, beginning from April 29 to May 6.

Contributing to new rural construction

Over the past time, Tan Uyen district mobilized all resources to invest in clean water supply works, hygienic ones…

The whole district now has around 10 concentrated water supply stations and 97.58% of households in use of clean water.

So far, the movement “Building up green-clean-nice hamlets, quarters” has also been promoted among people from all walks of life, contributing to new rural construction. This is also a necessary task to protect the environment towards sustainable development.
