She has also supported VND500,000 a month for a child with heart disease while raising money for the ward’s Red Cross Society to present books, notebooks and scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils twice a year…

Similarly, Nguyen Van Thien, a resident in Binh An ward is well-known as a rich man with golden heart. He is always ready to offer help to all needy people via many significant activities, including packing up Tet gifts, making charity meals for the poor; funding a charity class organized by the local Youth Union members at Thuong hamlet…

Taking care of unfortunate people

Di An town’s Red Cross Society has diversified support activities for the poor, including presenting gifts, providing free medical check-ups, building houses of compassion, granting scholarships, generating jobs…So far, the local Red Cross Society has promoted the models of “Charity meal”, “Granting free medical insurance cards”, “Volunteers’ Club”, “Healthcare Club”, …

Thanks to the campaign of “Each organization, each individual should stick to a humanitarian address”, Le Van Tien, a poor pupil with heart disease at Di An primary school in Di An town has been able to pursue his learning together with his friends. Through the campaign, donors gave the family of Tien VND70mln for his heart surgery.

After five-year implementation of the campaign, Di An town’s Red Cross Society has provided 13,529 disadvantaged people with gifts worth nearly VND4.6bln.
