Curbing together “price storm”

Update: 08-03-2011 | 00:00:00

After Tet 2011, prices of many essential products are on the rise whilst price increase of gas and electricity make goods and service prices surge along, impacting badly on low incomers’ life.

Laborers must mull over expenses for meals amid price storm.

Truong Thi Kieu Trinh, 28, a worker of Shyang Hung Cheng Ltd. in Thuan An town moaned “my family’s quality of meals is decreasing seriously, owing to price storm”. Meanwhile, Nguyen Lan Huong, a grocer in Thu Dau Mot town moaned “input material price increase makes selling prices jump along. Opinion blame that small traders like me often surge selling price unpromptedly. It’s unfair to us”.

With a modest income, the only way to overcome price storm is the very thrift. A report from local Labor Union said that many businesses also face difficulties in production, owing to price hike’s influence. However, some of them seek out effective measures to deal with price storm by saving materials, electricity, water and upholding technical innovation…

These small-but-significant deeds have greatly contributed to curb price increase.
