As an agricultural district, Dau Tieng has set out many measures relating to agriculture, farmer and rural issues. Accordingly, the locality will pay attention to agricultural development comprehensively, effectively and sustainably.

The locality will keep launching programs on new rural building firmly as well as facilitating investment in agriculture and rural areas.

In terms of trade and service, Dau Tieng gives priorities to develop and modernize services of finance, banking, telecommunication, trade, tourism, healthcare, education-training, science-technology…

Meanwhile, industry and handicraft have still accounted for a modest density in the local economic structure. To complete goals of increasing industrial density in the 2011-2015 period, Dau Tieng district party committee set out tasks of developing industry reasonably and sustainably with an average growth of 17.1%.
