Provincial leaders pay gift visit to policy beneficiary families, revolutionary contributors

In celebration of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), on the morning of July 27, provincial delegation, led by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors in Thu Dau Mot city. Accompanying him was Nguyen Van Đong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Ruc (born 1923 in Phu Loi ward); Pham Thi Be, martyr’s wife; Nguyen Thi Hong, second-degree invalid soldier; Huynh Thi Ni, martyr’s wife and Nguyen Van Tot, a resistance activist in Phu My ward.

In the visiting places,  on behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Loi inquired about the health and living conditions of the local policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. Provincial Party Committee Secretary paid tribute to the significant contributions of the heroic martyrs, policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors in the struggle for national independence. He also encouraged them to continue upholding revolutionary traditions, motivating and guiding their descendants to strive in their studies and work, contributing to building up a prosperous and beautiful homeland.

On this occasion, the delegation presented each policy beneficiary with a gift package, including VND 2.5 million in cash and gifts worth VND 1 million. Thu Dau Mot city presented each recipient with a gift worth VND 1 million.

*On the same morning, Thu Dau Mot city organized a program to meet, pay tribute and present essential gifts to outstanding policy beneficiary families in the city.

The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Nguyen Van Dong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee. On this occasion, Thu Dau Mot city presented 15 televisions to policy families and revolutionary contributors in the city.

*On the morning of July 27, provincial delegation, led by Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families in Di An city. Accompanying him was Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education Commission.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to three policy  families in Tan Binh ward, including Nguyen Van Chai (born 1954, fourth-degree invalid soldier); Nguyen Thi On (born 1932, martyr’s wife); Bui Thi Can (born 1931, martyr’s mother). In the visiting places, members of the delegation extended best regards and expressed profound gratitude to the families of martyrs, war invalids and sick soldiers for their sacrifices and contributions to the nation's independence and freedom. The delegation presented each family with a gift package, including VND 2.5 million in cash and gifts worth VND 1 million.

The delegation then visited Tan Binh ward’s Martyrs’ Memorial and Mach Mang Stream Memorial where they offered incense and observed a moment of silence in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh, the late General Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and construction.

On this occasion, the delegation also participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate a memorial to the unforgettable historical event of the Mach Mang Stream battle on May 4, 1968.

*On the same day, provincial delegation, led by Pham Van Tuyen, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs visited and presented gifts worth VND 3.5 million each to 13 revolutionary contributors and martyrs’ relatives receiving treatment at provincial General Hospital.
