Dau Tieng shares efforts in new-style rural construction

Thanks to the sound leadership of the local Party and government plus consensus among people, Dau Tieng district over the past time continued reaching socio-economic development, especially in new-style rural construction.

Great effort

One of highlights in Dau Tieng district’s socio-economic development over the past time was new-style rural construction. So far, the traffic system of 11 communes in the district has been covered by concrete. There have been 100% of communes with infrastructure facilities meeting criteria of the new-style rural construction program…

In terms of production, the district has further paid attention to building cooperative groups, cooperatives and farmsteads; encouraged enterprises to make investment into agriculture and rural areas…The whole district is home to 365 enterprises, up 25 compared to the corresponding period last year. Noticeably, the wholly foreign-owned Phu Dinh Home Furniture Co.Ltd. has so far built up a stable and hi-quality material area, ensuring its production activities. It is known that the company exports nearly 30 containers of products to the European market every month and now generates jobs for more than 1,300 laborers in and out of the province.

Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee said that along with industrial development, the district over the past time paid special attachment to home industries. The district now has many home industrial facilities with strong growth, mainly in rubber woodwork and rubber latex processing. The district has also continued accelerating administrative reform, facilitating the development of locals and enterprises.

Such these apart, the district has effectively realized its State budget collection and spending; improved the effectiveness and quality of State administration on planning, land, construction-urban order and environmental protection…All have contributed to helping the district reduce the rate of poor households under the province’s poverty line.

Improving people’s lives

The whole district now has 630 poor households under the province’s poverty line. In the coming time, the district will further uphold the local advantages in terms of workforce, land, natural resources; tap on-site resources; make efforts in absorbing more enterprises, creating jobs for laborers; promote industrial compounds, craft villages, tourist sites in association with building a synchronous infrastructure system, ensuring stable environmental hygiene.

Implementing the restructuring of agriculture, the district is vigorously changing its agricultural structure towards goods production, improving the quality and value of products, gradually forming up concentrated production zones, applying sci-tech advancements into production for better quality…

Thanks to well realizing the set solutions, the district’s total production value has reached the annual growth of 14% in recent years. The average income per capita of the local people in 2018 was VND55million. Regarding new-style rural construction, Thanh An commune has basically reached all 19 advanced criteria of the new-style rural construction program.

Mr.Phuong added that with specific orientations, it is sure that the district will fulfill the local plan on new-style rural construction in 2019, contributing to the local stable economic development.
