To implement guidelines of cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, notably the investment cooperation between Binh Duong province, Champasak province and Salavan province, the project of planting 10,000 ha rubber trees carried out by Dau Tieng – Viet Lao Rubber JSC since 2007, achieves now 6,712 ha and can be harvested. This confirms success of this project, continuous friendly cooperation between 2 countries and 2 provinces of Binh Duong – Champasak. Besides, at 5 districts of Champasak and Salaval province, the Company has taken care of more than 1,400 employees including over 1,300 Lao labors with monthly average salary of 1.3 mln kip/person. Especially, the Company has invested in social welfare programs such as: electricity, roads, schools with total capital of more than 5.8 bln kip. On behalf of Binh Duong province’s leaders, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Mr. Le Thanh Cung expressed his delight and affirmed “the first latex crop of Dau Tieng Viet – Lao Rubber JSC is the animated evidence of effective cooperation between Binh Duong and Champasak province”. On this occasion, the Company was conferred the first ranked Labor Medal by Laos’s State and credit by Vietnamese Prime Minister. Chairman of Board of Directors Mr. Tran Van Du and other 2 individuals of the Company were also awarded second ranked and third ranked Labor Medal of Laos’s State. The Company is planning to increase labor’s monthly income by 1.5 mln kip/ person, speed up procedures of land granting and pace of the project of 10,000 ha rubber trees.
