Deep feeling of gratitude for revolutionary contributors

In July, the month of gratefulness, Tan Uyen town’s Party Committee, government and mass organizations have organized “paying debt of gratitude” activities.

Paying tribute by entire heart

This week, wards in Tan Uyen town will organize a wide range of activities paying tribute to revolutionary contributors. Communes and wards in the town have held get-togethers, visited and offered gifts to policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors.

Leaders of Tan Uyen town offer a gift to the local policy beneficiary family

Tan Vinh Hiep ward is a locality with the most policy beneficiaries in the town. Hence, the People’s Committee of the ward has had good preparation for the organization of a get-together on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27). On this occasion, along with gifts from the province and the town, the ward will also donate gifts to the local policy beneficiaries.

On July 26 ahead, all officials, civil servants and Youth Union members in Vinh Tan commune will pay a visit to the local Monument of Martyrs and Statue of Guerrillas, Vinh Loi war zone. The activity aims to educate young generations about patriotism. The communal People’s Committee has also invited more than 360 policy beneficiaries for a get-together on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, thereby expressing deep tribute to them.

Nguyen Ngoc Anh Thy, Deputy Head of Tan Uyen town’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that “paying debt of gratitude” activities have not only educated young generations about the tradition of patriotism, but also increased the beauty of the “when eating a fruit, think of the person who planted the tree” moral principle. Together with central and provincial State budget, the town’s People’s Committee has also mobilized many other resources to visit and donate gifts to the local revolutionary contributors.

Regular care for policy beneficiaries

Mrs.Thy said that the town has always paid attention to
paying debt of gratitude. On the last Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, the town visited and offered gifts to 4,421 policy beneficiaries, helping them enjoy a warm and happy Tet. The town also opportunely solved policies for the local policy beneficiaries; had good coordination with relevant units to build and upgrade houses for them while giving them support on vocational training, job introduction, loans for production…, thereby contributing to improving their quality of life.

In early August, the town is expected to take 66 revolutionary contributors to Khanh Hoa province for convalescence, aiming to take care of their spiritual life. It is known that on holidays or Sundays, pupils from high and secondary schools in the town also regularly clean up the local Martyrs’ Monuments.

On the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, the town’s People’s Committee will organize delegations to visit and offer 573 gifts to the local policy beneficiaries on July 25 ahead, paying tribute to them.
