Stable production enterprises

In the first quarter of 2019, the turnover, import-export of enterprises operating in VSIP industrial parks in the province continued to be stable, increasing compared to the same period in 2018. Besides, the total investment capital in VSIP industrial parks over 48.8 million USD, including 2 new investment projects with a total registered investment capital of 4.5 million USD and 9 projects to increase investment capital with additional capital of over 44.3 million dollars. Up to now, VSIP industrial parks in the province have 541 valid investment projects with a total registered capital of 8.1174 billion USD, of which 489 projects have been put into operation.

In last March, at VSIP II Industrial Park, Coffee Corporation of India TATA inaugurated a coffee factory in Vietnam. This is a cold-drying coffee factory with a capacity of 5,000 tons / year, built on an area of ​​8 hectares with a total investment of over 65.5 million USD. TATA is the largest business group in India with annual revenue of over 109 billion USD. Currently, TATA products are exported to more than 40 countries around the world.

Mr. Parvathani Harish, General Director of TATA Vietnam, said that cold-dried coffee is TATA's future strategic product. TATA wants to bring to Vietnam market the best quality products, contributing to boosting Vietnam's coffee industry to grow stronger and stronger.

Investing in solar renewable energy

In the past 23 years, VSIP industrial park model has always been highly appreciated by the province. The success of VSIP brand has been affirmed and many provinces and cities of Vietnam want to have VSIP model. In the coming years, the owner of VSIP industrial park will continue to invest in Binh Duong, not only limited to the industrial zone economic model, but also invest in many other areas, contributing to the development of the economy. direction.

Currently, Sembcorp Group is looking for new opportunities in cooperating to invest in solar renewable energy, following the smart city development strategy, which takes VSIP 3 industrial park to test and apply pine solutions. As an operating device, infrastructure electricity and water meet the new requirements best in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. This project has established a technical exchange research team. Sembcorp believes the project will be successful when applied at VSIP 3 industrial zone and the provincial administrative building, then spread to other industrial parks in Binh Duong.

Mr. Neil McGregor, President and CEO of Sembcorp Group, said that he hopes that in the coming time, the VSIP model will continue to be successfully developed and continue to develop more sustainably this model.
