Di An town makes efforts to promote growth

Growth maintained

Despite difficulties, Di An town’s industrial manufacture has still achieved high growth.

The town’s industrial production value in Q1 2012 was estimated at VND8.892trillion, equivalent to 22.81% of the year’s plan and up 14.45% compared to the same period last year.

Of the total figure, the domestic investment sector reached VND4.888trillion or nearly 55% of total; the non-State investment sector with nearly VND3.985trillion or 44.8% of total and the State-run investment sector with VND18bln or 0.21%.

Some industries of footwear, garment-textile, woodwork, animal feed…gained high growth.

The town’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services also reached VND4.289bln, equivalent to 34.53% of the year’s plan and up 29% against the same period last year.

Thanks to actively shifting its structure towards high tech-based cultivation and animal husbandry, the town’s agricultural sector still gained stable growth…

Also in Q1 2012, the town’s State budget collection was estimated at VND419.3bln or 20.2% of estimate while total State spending reached VND107.8bln or 14.65% of the province’s estimate…

Focusing on urban infrastructure development

In Q1 2012, Di An town started construction of the Binh Thang inter-ward cultural-sports compound and Ly Thuong Kiet primary school; put the first phase of Tran Hung Dao, Binh Tri-Thuan An and Binh Tri-Tan Thang streets into use. Investment capital for basic construction herein was estimated at VND49.7bln.

Di An town now speeds up site clearance, creating favorable conditions for investors to work out the big projects of new Dong Nai bridge, Tan Van-My Phuoc highway... The town has also completed and made public the detailed 1/2000-scale plans for its wards of Dong Hoa, Di An, Binh Thang, Binh An, Tan Binh…

To achieve its targets on socio-economic development, Di An town will continue seeking measures to remove difficulties; effectively implement a plan on administrative reform under the ISO 9001:2008 standards; focus on site clearance, basic construction to best serve the local key projects, paying way for the local rapid  and sustainable socioeconomic development.
