Do not let any disadvantaged children not go to school

On July 6, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to listen to Department of Education and Training’s report on the preparation for the new school year 2023-2024.

In academic year 2022-2023, the whole education training branch has united to overcome difficulties and challenges, completed the first step of the 2018 general education program, moved towards the successful implementation of educational training renovation. In the 2023-2024 academic year, the whole branch is expected to have 732 schools and centers for vocational education and continuing education. The total number of students at all levels from preschool to high school and continuing education in the province is expected to be 548,093 students, an increase of 37,232 students compared to the school year 2022-2023.

It is expected that by the end of 2023, 19 more public school projects will be completed in the province, with a total investment of over VND 2,101 billion. To meet teaching requirements according to the 2018 general education program, the whole branch is making efforts to collaborate with units and schools to purchase teaching equipment for grades 3, 7, 10 and other grades according to the schedule.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha asked provincial localities continue to review and closely grasp the situation of children in the area to encourage them to go to school. In the immediate future, Department of Education and Training needs to immediately implement the program "Responding to school" to create joy and motivation for students in the area before the new school year, definitely not to let any disadvantaged children not go to school.

On some difficult issues, such as: lack of teachers, new teaching materials, tables and chairs, Mr. Ha suggested that departments, branches and localities continue to actively coordinate to solve problems in the coming time.
