Draft project on improving efficiency of local Farmers Support Fund approved

Early April 15, Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council, Head of provincial Mobilization Board of Farmers Support Fund, chaired a meeting approving the draft project on “Further  improving efficiency of provincial Farmers Support Fund” in the 2016-2020 period.

Accordingly, the implementation of the project will help farmers approach capital from provincial Farmers Support Fund in order to boost production, improve and stabilize their lives as well as having an opportunity to get access to modern production models, contributing to the local poverty reduction, new rural construction and socio-economic development.

Provincial Farmers Support Fund has been implemented by the method of providing loans with preferential interest rates as prescribed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers Association on loan and interest rate repayment. On average, each farming household is provided with VND 30mln in loan.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr.Canh basically agreed the draft and accessed that the project will help farmers, especially those with difficult circumstances to develop production, business and stabilize their lives. He also proposed provincial Farmers Association to complete the draft and submit it to provincial Party Committee for approval in the soonest time…
