Drivers’ licensing limited for Covid-19 prevention and control

In the afternoon of June 4, Mr. Nguyen Chi Hieu, Deputy Director of Binh Duong provincial Department of Transport, said that he will temporarily stop accepting some types of application for granting and renewing driving licenses to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Department is implementing the direction of the provincial People's Committee on the arrangement of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic; at the same time, implementing administrative procedures via online network and public postal service in the stage of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control.

Currently, the Department of Transport only accepts applications for renewal of road motor vehicle licenses issued by the Department including the expired or less than 10 days' validity of driving licenses or lost driver's licenses. Particularly, other cases such as renewal of foreign driver's licenses issued to foreigners, paper driving licenses, etc. will be suspended until further notice.
