The provincial department of Education and Training just announced results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the school year of 2014-2015. Students failing in the exam will pursue their study at vocational training schools or continuing education centers. It is important to realize capacity to choose ways of approaching future career. Students of intermediate professional schools get awards at the English Olympic Contest for intermediate professional level. In the past 10th grade entrance exam, the entire province had more than 10,600 candidates. Accordingly, the provincial department of Education and Training admitted 8, 254 students to public high schools. With efforts of holding a serious exam, this exam’s questions were relatively difficult to categorize closely examinees’ knowledge. However, with high responsibility, teachers paid much attention to students’ knowledge right from the early school year, so the exam’s results showed an encouraging change. Categorizing students’ knowledge at secondary schools was implemented well. In the end of the 9th grade school year, based on students’ academic results, teachers of secondary schools counseled students ways of approaching study methods in conformity with their academic ability. For fair and good students, teachers continued to foster knowledge for them in a bid to help them reach good results in the 10th grade entrance exam. Meanwhile, teachers gave weak students good advices to help them choose vocational study properly. Dang Thanh Sang, vice director of the provincial department of Education and Training advised “Students with poor academic results should study at vocational training schools to both gain vocational certificate and high school graduation degree”. Like the previous years, the provincial People’s Committee continues to allocate training targets of 9th grade students for intermediate professional schools. These schools will recruit 2,475 students for regular training level and 285 for in-service level. Depending on ability, hobby, students will enjoy many choices for apprenticeship training. 2 majors are needing many human resources including healthcare and pedagogy. Mai Anh Nguyet, headmaster of Binh Duong Technology Intermediate School said that the school will in this year admit 1,600 students for intermediate pharmacist and physician, nursing and pre-school pedagogy majors, in which 500 seats are for secondary students. Meanwhile, Binh Duong agro-forestry intermediate school was paid much attention by students in the past year. The school has various majors including business accountancy, trade English, animal husbandry, veterinary, cultivation, plant protection, informatics technology, land management, environment and natural resources management. Huynh Kim Ngan, headmaster of the school said that intermediate professional level equips students with professional qualification, so they can accumulate many experiences compared with other friends at the same age. After graduation and working for 3 years, they will be allowed to transfer college and university levels at the same training majors. Duong The Phuong, Director of provincial Department of Education and Training had a working session with Thuan An town’s Division of Education and Training about the preparatory work for the 2014-2015 academic year.

On July 15, Phu Giao district Economic Division in cooperation with the provincial department of Science and Technology held training class on intellectual property for organizations, individuals and businesses in the locality. At the training class, the department guided participants skills of brand name design, establishment of rights for trademarks and introduced business assistance program of intellectual asset development for the period of 2011-2015. Accordingly, the program will counsel establishment of rights of intellectual property inside and outside of the country, among others. Tran Van Nam, Head of Di An town’s Division of Education and Training said that the Division has coordinated with town-based private swimming pools to organize free swimming training courses for around 700 primary school pupils, thereby helping them catch swimming techniques while taking physical exercise for good health.
