- During Lunar New Year 2020, Provincial Market Management Department built many plan and programs to strengthen the inspection and supervision of food safety in the area. In particular, the department issued a thematic inspection plan for food safety, and assigned teams to perform and report. In addition, the department issued a plan to monitor food safety in the area. Besides, as a member of provincial Steering committee for Food safety, the department joined inspection delegations at supermarkets, food processing and production facilities. The department also directed to increase unscheduled checks of markets, business establishments, food processing facilities.
The communication on food safety to manufacturers, processing and consumers through mass media has also proved its effectiveness. Inspections of market management has created consensus in public opinion; heightened food production businesses' awareness of law compliance and consumers' consciousness of self-protection.
