Sharing difficulties with employees
In 2021, the lives of trade unionists and employees have faced many difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic. For trade unionists and employees enjoying a full and exciting Tet, the trade union of Showa Gloves Vietnam Co., Ltd.in Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park I (VSIP I) has proactively proposed company directorate to ensure Tet bonuses, creating a driving force for employees to work and have a strong attachment with the company.

Vu Quoc Huy, Chairman of the company’s trade union said that this year, the company’s production activities have faced many difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic. However, the company's directorate has still ensured to fully implement policies on Tet bonuses for employees as in previous years... Although being under control, the pandemic is still complicated. Hence, this year the company will give gifts worth VND600,000 each for employees to pay tribute to their contributions over the past year, instead of organizing a year-end party. The company's trade union will also offer gift vouchers worth VND 300,000 - VND600,000 each to trade unionists and employees.
Thong Dung Footwear Co.Ltd. in Thuan An city now has more than 6,000 employees. It has just announced the 13th month salary bonus, equivalent to one month's basic salary for employees. Nguyen Minh Tien, Chairman of the company’s trade union said that in addition to Tet bonuses for employees from the directorate, the company's trade union will give trade unionists and employees gifts worth VND300,000 each, including essential foods. The company's early announcement of Tet bonuses makes employees very happy and excited. Everyone knows that the company had to stop working for more than 3 months to fight the pandemic, but still makes efforts in taking care of employees on Tet. Therefore, the company’s employees feel very happy, said he. Whilst, Pham Ngan Ha, Chairman of Lywayway Joint Stock Co.’s trade union said that the company has still maintained the 13th month salary bonus like the previous years. The company’s trade union will also give each employee a gift worth VND 300,000.
Bringing a warm spring to employees
Dao Tran Dong, Chairman of province-based Industrial Parks (Ips)’ Trade Union said: “As surveyed, the pandemic has affected the lives and jobs of employees. Therefore, instead of returning to their hometowns, many workers will stay in Binh Duong to celebrate the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022 to save travel costs, stabilize their lives, and send money to their families. Province-based Ips’ Trade Union has issued a plan on the organization of activities to take care of employees with the theme of “Tet reunion - Peaceful spring” and deployed it to all trade union locals, bringing Tet to all trade unionists and employees ".
Besides, according to Mr. Dong, the Trade Union will organize activities to visit, encourage, offer gifts and extend Tet greetings to trade unionists and employees, especially for those infected with Covid-19, having extremely difficult circumstances, suffering from fatal diseases, labor accidents, occupational diseases... Trade union locals will be proactive to take the number of trade unionists and employees who have the demand for returning to their hometowns for Tet in order to exchange with directorates for timely support while complying with anti-Covid-19 measures in accordance with the State’s regulations.
Nguyen Minh Hoang, Vice-Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s Labor Union said that along with policies on visiting and donating Tet gifts to trade unionists and employees, the town’s Labor Union has also mobilized units, enterprises and donors to join hands in taking care of them on Tet. The joint efforts will contribute to bringing employees a cozy, peaceful and happy Tet.
