- The elections of deputies to the 15th NA and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure is a key political task of the entire Party, army, people and the whole political system in 2021; is a phase of deep democratic activities among people from all strata. Tomorrow (May 23), voters nationwide and in Binh Duong province will directly choose outstanding people who represent the will, aspirations and right to mastery of the people for the NA and People's Councils at all levels, actively contributing to building the socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people and for the people..., thereby obviously expressing the democratic nature and profound humanity of the State through the close relationship between the people and the State.

- In order to successfully implement the elections, on the basis of the guidance documents of the Central Government, Binh Duong has grasped and implemented election work actively and effectively. Provincial Election Committee has promptly issued documents directing and guiding professional activities on election work such as promulgating plans to ensure security-order, food safety and hygiene, Covid-19 prevention and control; issuing documents to guide organizations and individuals in realizing the regulations on election campaign, promoting preparation for material facilities and human resources to serve the synthesis of election results…
In general, the province’s preparations for the elections have been fulfilled on schedule. The work of ensuring political security, social order and safety as well as Covid-19 control, prevention continues to be observed seriously and closely. Provincial Election Committee has proactively issued the Plan 110/PAUBBC on Covid-19 prevention and control during the process of organizing the elections.
Election propaganda has been enhanced by sectors, localities and the mass media in the province by various forms. Over the past time, the consultation and nomination of candidates were also carried out in accordance with the process and on schedule with structure and composition ensured. The meeting between voters and the candidates were realized seriously, ensuring democracy and equality. Material facilities, including equipment for Covid-19 prevention and control, were ensured under the set plans. Provincial Election Committees at all levels also set out plans to inspect, supervise preparatory work for the elections, ensuring that the elections will take place successfully.

Guaranteeing successful elections
- Can you tell us more about rechecking the list of voters and preparation on material facilities for the elections?
- As of May 16, the total number of voters in the province is 1,719,918. The figure will continue being updated to May 22. Up to now, the province has established 1,100 election groups at 1,100 polling stations with the number of members from 11 to 21 people/group; in which there are 22 special groups (16 being armed forces and 6 being detoxication facilities, prisons) with the number of members from 5 to 9 people/group. Provincial Election Committee has directed communal-level Election Committees to consolidate and promptly supplement members of the election groups at the polling stations where there are concentrated isolation zones to conduct election work.
Specifically, material facilities for the election day (May 23) have been equipped for 1,100 polling stations in the province. Provincial Election Sub-Committee on Content - Finance - Logistics has completed the allocation of seals to 101 election committees at all levels, 780 election boards at all levels (the election board of NA deputies, the election board of provincial People's Council, the election board of People's Councils of districts, towns and cities), 1,100 seals of the election group and 1,100 seals of "Voted".
Regarding ballot boxes, provincial Election Standing Committee has allocated 2,200 main ballot boxes and 2,200 auxiliary ballot boxes, including 1,100 small ones for Covid-19 prevention and control... Documents and forms in service of the elections have been fully distributed to election groups.
Provincial Election Sub-Committee on Content - Finance - Logistics in collaboration with district-level election committees has completed total rehearsal in order to well operate the software that summarizes election results.
- Sir, what preparations will sectors, localities in the province make on May 22 and the election day, May 23?
- On May 22 and 23, provincial Election Committee will ask sectors and localities to focus on propaganda so that the people will actively participate in the elections; step up propaganda with focus on voting rules, methods, voting process, the list and biographies of candidates and their action plans among people. Especially, sectors and localities have also been ordered to take synchronous measures to ensure order-security and social safety before, during and after the election day; especially closely monitor over the development of the Covid-19 pandemic; well implement measures against the pandemic in association with organizing voting activities at polling stations; continue decorating voting booths in accordance with regulations, creating an exciting atmosphere for people to go to the polls sufficiently, contributing together with the whole country to ensure a democratic, safe and economical election.
