Part 1: Businesses satisfied with investment climate

 

Along with other many economic achievements, Binh Duong province’s FDI attraction has continued making spectacular breakthroughs and become one of the country’s leading localities in the field. Foreign investors have also expressed their satisfaction about Binh Duong’s investment climate.

Over the past five years, the province obtained considerable results in FDI attraction with additional 846 FDI projects capitalized at US$7.3bln. The result has brought the total number of FDI projects flowing into the province so far to 1,966 with a total registered capital of nearly US$13.5bln.

One of the province’s new features in FDI attraction was to draw more and more large-scaled projects, including the US$360mln automobile tyre factory of the South Korean Kumho Asiana Group, the high-class packing factory of the Thai SCG Siam Cement with US$140mln for the first phase, the My Phuoc ecological urban area of US$620mln invested by SP Setia Berhad and Becamex IDC, the US$60mln beverage factory of the Kiran Acecook Vietnam Co.…

 

FDI attraction on sharp growth is a good sign as the foreign-invested sector has made great contributions to the local development. Apartedly, province-based FDI businesses have also focused on industries manufacturing high-tech products with good competitiveness. This is very suitable to the local orientations for sustainable industrial development.

Munechika Yokomizo, General Director of Kirin Accook Vietnam Co. said: “After making survey in many places, we decided to select Binh Duong for developing our investment project. We enjoyed many advantages and received the attention and help of the local authorities at all levels in the process of realizing the project…”.

 

Paik In Ki, Chairman of Binh Duong-based South Korea Business Association also spoke highly of Binh Duong’s investment climate and said: “The province’s well-built infrastructure and attention have made the security among businesses. The association will further uphold its role as a bridge between the province and South Korean businesses…”.

 

With an attractive business climate, Binh Duong has not only created satisfactory among businesses, but also received high appreciation from politicians. Ikuo Mizuki, Japanese Consul General in HCM city said that Binh Duong is one of the country’s top localities in FDI attraction…
