Over the past years, Di An town’s Labor Union excelled at supporting female laborers by practical deeds.

Stabilizing laborers’ jobs and lives

Doan Nam Le Thien, Vice-Chairman of Di An town’s Labor Union said that since early this year, the town has continued paying more attention to national programs on poverty reduction and employment creation while reaching advances in education and healthcare.

The town has also maintained the movement of “paying debt of gratitude” and social charity activities. In addition, the town’s propaganda programs in association with launching patriotic emulation movements, celebrating great holidays and national events this year have received enthusiastic response from the local civil servants and people…

The average income of female laborers in the town is now around VND4.5million-VND8million per person per month. Reportedly, the town’s Labor Union conducted trade union locals to advise leaders of agencies, units and enterprises on setting up plans taking care of the spiritual and material lives of civil servants, laborers during the Workers’ Month 2019.

The State’s policies in favor of laborers were sufficiently solved by agencies, units and enterprises in the town. The town’s Labor Union also offered timely help to laborers, especially female ones…

Further taking care of laborers by concrete programs

According to Mr.Thien, the town’s Labor Union will further carry out welfare programs for trade unionists and laborers. It is known that more than 2,500 trade unionists herein have enjoyed welfare programs, up 500 compared to the same period last year.

It is known that the town’s Labor Union also took good care of laborers via many concrete programs over the past time. The town’s Labor Union last year offered 150 bus tickets to needy laborers to return their hometown for Tet. So far, the town’s Labor Union has mobilized organizations, individuals to raise VND80million for the “house of trade union” fund. The fund has also just supported VND15million for 3 workers hit by workplace accidents…

Pham Van Bay, Vice-Chairman of Di An town’s People’s Committee said that with concrete programs, the town has paid more attention to the spiritual and material lives of laborers, especially female ones. The town has always made efforts in helping them so that they always consider Di An as their second homeland.

The town will continue well realizing women affairs in order to take practical care of female trade unionists, civil servants and laborers. Through annual celebrations on International Women’s Day, the town’s Labor Union has contributed to helping women know more about the law, getting more conditions to develop themselves and give good care for their families. Over the past nine months, the town’s Labor Union gave legal aid for 201 cases, up 5 against the corresponding period; organized talk shows for female laborers; spent more than VND61.2million on women affairs…
