Early February 4, Thuan An Town People’s Council dispatched a delegation to inspect food safety and hygiene assurance in a bid to prevent smuggling and cheating in commercial and production activities in the locality. The delegation checked over 40 stalls at 4 market places to discover many stalls having no price listing and non-standardized preservation of freeze foods.
On the same day, Market Control Team Number 11 coordinated with Order Management Team of Binh Duong Provincial Market Control Division, Food Safety and Hygiene Division, Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture Product Management Division, and specialized boards of the district to organize monitoring teams on prices and food safety and hygiene at Tan Thanh and Dat Cuoc market places in North Tan Uyen.
The delegations made sudden check on price listing and sales prices, quick food tests on 16 household businesses. As a result, 4 household businesses breached regulations on food safety and 3 on price listing. The delegations also warned those household businesses while destroying 3kg of yellow noodle failing to ensure food safety.
