Get-together to mark VWU’s 88th anniversary held

Early October 18, provincial Women’s Union held a get-together to mark the 88^th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Union (VWU) (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2018), the 8^th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20, 2010-October 20, 2018) and honor outstanding women in production-business in 2018. Attending the get-together were Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women in the national construction and defence during the past 88 years. Upholding this tradition, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels have always attached special importance to promoting effective emulation movements among women, contributing to the local socio-economic development…

Mr.Liem praised provincial Women’s Unions at all levels for their achievements over the past time while asking for them to continue well carrying out the Government’s programs concretized by provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee. They also need to advise the local government on issuing policies for officials and members, especially women with difficult circumstances; well do their responsibility in Party and government building.

On this occasion, provincial Women’s Union also set up the Mobilization Board of establishment of provincial Intellectual Women’s Association; honored 54 outstanding women in production-business in 2018…
