Golden opportunity for cooperation and development

Meet Korea 2022 - one of a series of events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) jointly hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, and People's Committee of Binh Duong Province; and is of particular importance. Because this is an opportunity to gather resources and strengthen the connection between Binh Duong and Korean partners for cooperation and development.

During 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries Vietnam and Korea have made great and important achievements in almost all fields. In particular, economic cooperation has always been a pillar in the overall picture of cooperation and mutual development. By the end of September 2022, Korea continues to hold its position as the largest investor in Vietnam with a total registered capital of more than 80.5 billion USD. Korean enterprises continue to be an important component of Vietnam's economy, contributing about 30% of Vietnam's total export value. Particularly in Binh Duong province, up to now, Korea ranks 5th among 65 foreign countries and territories as investors with nearly 800 projects, total investment capital is about 3.3 billion USD. Korean enterprises invest mainly in auxiliary products for automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food processing industries.

In this Meet Korea 2022 event, there will be also many activities taking place in 3 consecutive days, such as: visiting projects of Becamex IDC and Korean enterprises; goods supply - demand connection program and exhibitions (Binh Duong Expo 2022); Vietnamese - Korean food festival... This is an opportunity to promote the potential of economy, investment and other fields. In particular, Korea has strengths in science, technology, healthcare etc., which are sectors prioritized by Binh Duong. Thus, this event creates good conditions for partners to learn about strengths, suitable investment, and cooperation opportunities. The cooperation signing ceremony between Becamex International Hospital and BUMIN Hospital Group (Korea) is one of the proofs of the effectiveness of the Meet Korea 2022 program. This event is also an opportunity for the parties to directly listen to thoughts and recommendations of Korean businesses and partners, thereby continuing to improve the investment and business environment and have effective solutions, creating favourable conditions for Korean investors to invest and do business effectively in Binh Duong.

With potential, advantages, similarities in development goals, mutual trust after 30 years of establishing cooperation relations between Vietnam and Korea as well as Binh Duong and Korean localities, Meet Korea 2022 is not a stop, but a beginning of more practical programs to create a new momentum and new motivation for a more sustainable future.
