The January 15th of lunar calendar is coming, goods and services trading activities in TDM City have become more energetic. To ensure food safety, price control of catering businesses, parking services around local pagodas, provincial Market Control has strengthened inspection and examination.
Businesses implement well price-list display
Morning March 2nd, provincial Market Control deployed plans of market inspection and control during the January Full-moon Festival in TDM City. Fruit, incense, lamps, decorative items, catering services... have been sold along streets to Ba Pagoda, Linh Khong Dan Pagoda, Thanh An Pagoda, Thuan Thien Pagoda… After inspection, these small businesses were organized reasonable, orderly, parking areas implemented well prescribed prices.

At each stall, customers can easily see price list of all goods. For example, 1.2-meter incense box at Ba Pagoda entrance was priced at VND100,000 to 120,000 each; candles, decorative trees, paper money had a price of VND25,000 to 750,000 each… Catering businesses, parking services showed clearly prescribed fees. Forces of police, militias, urban order have been arranged at pagoda entrances to guide and remind visitors to burn incense, offer gifts, and protect their luggage.
According to Mr. Luu Cam, head of Guangdong bang, deputy head of Festival organizers committee, visitors number is increasing, especially in evenings. However, security and order at Ba Pagoda area has been still secured, because of strong, comprehensive control of authorities. Since the 30th lunar day, organizers have asked incense vendors to sell outside Ba Pagoda, preventing selling with insistence, creating comfort atmosphere for visitors.
Overpricing to be inhibited
Market Control Team 1 leader Ms. Ly Thu Cuc said, assignment of market inspection, control during the festival has been implemented seriously to ensure safety for visitors. Market Control Team has examined business registration, good origin, prohibited goods, product label, especially prescribed prices of food, parking services.
Market Control Team 1 coordinated with Phu Cuong ward People's Committee to inspect and seized violent toys, prohibited goods; fined 4 parking lots for not listing prices. Areas around the festival have been frequently checked over by 5 teams with a schedule lasting from Feb 26th to March 7th from 7 am to 10 pm every day.
According to Ms. Cuc, in following days, the number of visitors would continue to rise. Thus, if visitors detected individuals or points selling with insistence, charging unreasonable prices, visitors could report to hotline printed on parking pricelists.
