Early April 24, the Ministry of National Defense, in collaboration with the Red Cross Societies of the province and localities, held a ceremony to hand over a “Red Cross” house to the family of Vu Thi Nhi in Tan Dinh commune’s hamlet 3 in North Tan Uyen district.
The event was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Zone 7.
Her family is facing difficulties in terms of housing, work with unstable income. In order to help her family soon get stability in housing and further try to rise up in life, the locality considered and asked for higher authorities to give financial support for building a house for her family. With the attention of the Ministry of National Defense, provincial Red Cross Society mobilized the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank to support the cost of building a “Red Cross” house worth VND150million for her family. The house was built on the family's land, with a total construction area of 107 square meters.
At the house-giving ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, provincial Red Cross Association and the locality gave many practical gifts for the family.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Defense also presented 10 gifts to disadvantaged people in Tan Dinh commune.
