Ba Nhat bamboo article cooperative’s Women Union in Tan Uyen district was set up in July 2011 with a 9-member executive board and 180 members. Right after its inception, the union has set out concrete plans in conformity with its activity.

The union chairwoman Lam Tu Phung, said one of crucial tasks of the union is to a work of promulgation. The union weekly updates news for sisters to help them excel instructions relating to women and children. In addition, assistance policies for poor women have been specially paid by the union.

The union has so far set up 2 teams of “charity capital contribution” to give non-interest loans for needy sisters.

Le Thi Anh Nga, chairwoman of the district Women Union, said this is not only a new model but a highlighted one. The union has thus far reached good results in its operation.

Typical models expanded

Implementing a program of building and developing the Party organization and mass bodies at non-state businesses, the district Women Union has set up 2 more organizations at the non-state businesses. They include the 28-member women sub-union at Hien Thao Service and Trade Ltd. and the 74-member one at Minh Dung Veterinary - Aquaculture Medicine Company Limited.

The establishment at the non-state companies will help sisters approach the Party and State’s policies and instructions. However, it is difficult to maintain effective operations at the companies. As such, we need cooperation and assistance from businesses and members, Nga said.
