Hung King’s Death Anniversary highlights gratitude tradition

(whenever you go to mountainous or to lowland areas, be reminded of death anniversary on March 10)

Hung King’s Death Anniversary has impressed a deep mark on spirit of Vietnamese people through ages. This year, the anniversary organized in Binh Duong Province was meaningfully commemorated in safety and simplification, depicting gratitude tradition.

At 7:00 A.M., the festive atmosphere was around in Hung Vuong High School with traditional games and cooking contest of square glutinous rice cakes.

“The contest of cake making offers us chances to express ourselves and to offer our commemoration,” said Tran Thi Thuy Lan – a 12-grade student of literature major. Students also attended flower arrangement contest under theme of “commemorating Hung King’s Death Anniversary and 15th year of school establishment.

Meantime, the performing activities started at 18:00 with unicorn, lion, and dragon dances opening up major rituals of candle, flower, cake, and incense offerings.

The rituals eanded by gift offerings handing over by Hung Vuong High School students to attending delegates..
