Registration time for preferential electricity prices is extended for low-income households and lodgers

Le Minh Quoc, deputy director of Binh Duong Electricity Company said that the state-owned Electricity Corporation of Vietnam (EVN) has suggested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to allow it to last the registration time for buying electricity at preferential prices for low-income households and lodgers till April 15.

According to statistics, as of March 31, the whole province had 1,427 out of 10,883 households registering to buy electricity at preferential prices in reference to the Government’s Directive. Under the Decision No.268, poor and low-income households who use no more than 50kWh per month will enjoy a monthly support of VND30,000 for each household from the province. Four lodgers are seen as a household and the province will also give such financial support to them if they use no more than 50kWh per month…
