To enhance fines against occupation of safety corridor of high-voltage grid

The Provincial People’s Committee has issued a directive demanding involving leaders from departments and sectors and People’s Committees in the grassroots to be committed to action plans including management of and punishment against occupation of high-voltage grid safety corridor. The punishment must be in line with administrative sanctions ruled by Decree No. 68/2010/ND-CP.

People’s Committees in communes, wards, and towns are to manage local public safety to resolve problems of occupation and report violatoin to inspecting agencies.

As for involved departments and sectors, the assigned tasks must be complete through frequent inspection and check-up of the power lines and voltage transformers to take precaution against violation and report to managing authority. And, within 10 working days after receiving notice of a new construction, the managing authority of power grid must inspect the site and sign agreement with constructors at the site to ensure safety. In case no agreement is made, statement must be justified.

Power supply may be cut upon any violation by organizations and individuals in terms of grid safety corridor as ruled by Ministry of Industry and Trade. Propaganda and education should also be ensured.
