There has been a noticeable shift from urban to rural areas in Binh Duong. The roads are becoming wider, more open, and cleaner, and this transformation can be attributed to the collaboration of women's union members at all levels, from the province to the grassroots.

For a more beautiful and cleaner living environment

Having the opportunity to visit Phu An commune, Ben Cat city, it is interesting to witness the changes in a rural area chosen as the first model new rural commune in terms of culture in the province. The most impressive are the roads and community living areas.

According to Ms. Nguyen Kim Chi, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Phu An commune, there are 8 public activity points in the commune equipped with health training and entertainment facilities. In addition, the commune has 2 parks fully equipped with outdoor sports equipment. At these public places as well as on residential roads, local women's union officials and members have taken action to clean the environment, plant trees and flowers to create a very clean and beautiful landscape.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Xuan, Vice President of the Women's Union of Thuan An City, said that to contribute to beautifying streets and roads, each woman is an active propagandist mobilizing people and neighbors to join hands in building a civilized urban area. They always promote the role, enthusiasm, efforts, and exemplary pioneering spirit of women's union members, creating awareness among all classes of people about environmental protection and building a civilized cultural lifestyle where they live.

With the "Civilized Saturday" program, the Women's Union of Thuan An City has directed the grassroots association to proactively develop a plan and organize implementation based on the actual situation at the unit. Up to now, the union has registered to develop self-managed 42 routes to implement civilized Saturday, resulting in 453 cleaning campaigns with 14,675 participants.

At the same time, the Women's Union of Thuan An City signed with the City People's Committee to carry out a civilized urban street managed by the City Association on Nguyen Van Tiet Street, Lai Thieu Ward. The City Women's Union also directed 10/10 union branches to sign with the People's Committee at the same level, to perform the women's part in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas in the city. Continue to implement and promote the effectiveness of cycling program "Propaganda for building a civilized and cultural urban lifestyle", "Three-civilized boarding house model", "Green, clean, beautiful boarding house". The Women's Union also launched the "Each branch - a self-managed route" program applied at the grassroots level, resulting in 8 more routes compared to 2023.

Continue to spread good models

Lately, the Provincial Women's Union has been actively spreading awareness and mobilizing female officials and members to uphold the criteria of "Families without members violating the law and social evils" as part of the "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's" campaign. This effort aims to contribute to the cultivation of Vietnamese family values at all levels. In addition, there is propaganda promoting the idea of "families taking responsibility for implementing traffic safety." Women are discouraged from encroaching on roads, sidewalks, and traffic corridors for trading, holding markets, or drying agricultural products, as these activities can cause accidents and traffic jams.
