Early January 20, leaders of Thu Dau Mot city held a delegation to visit and present Tet gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers and policy beneficiary families on the occasion of the 2104 traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

At the visiting places, they extended their best regards to Vietnamese heroic mothers and policy beneficiary families while wishing them a happy new year. It is known that Thu Dau Mot city extracted its State budget to visit and present 6 Tet gifts worth VND2mln each to Vietnamese heroic mothers; gave 87 gifts worth VND300,000 each, including confectionary, sugar and milk, for needy policy beneficiary families with difficult circumstances; offered 6 Tet gifts worth VND2mln each for policy beneficiaries with a total expense of VND111mln.

* Leaders of Di An town, on January 20, organized 4 delegations to visit and present Tet gifts to 100 policy beneficiaries and 300 people with social support with a total expense of VND210mln, extracted from by the local State budget on the occasion of the 2014 Tet festival.

Prior to that, the People’s Committee of Dong Hoa ward, leaders of Di An town and representatives of provincial Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients presented 80 Tet gifts in cash of VND40mln to poor households, disabled people and poor patients across the ward.
