Lighting candles on 56000 fallen soldier’s graves in Hanoi

On July 26th, 56000 fallen soldiers’ graves in 342 cemeteries in Hanoi were lighted with candles to respond the programme entitled “Lighting gratitude candles” and mark the 63rd anniversary of Vietnamese Fallen and Wounded Soldier’s Day.

 

The standing committee of the Hanoi City’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union launched young people, children and people of all walks in Hanoi to contribute candles, incenses and flowers to the programme.

 

In addition, during the programme, 50 savings, worth 1000000 VND for each, were presented to wounded soldiers and children from policy families.

 

In July, volunteer young people and local people cleaned cemeteries in Hanoi.

 

On this occasion, cadres from the Hanoi City’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union visited, presented gifts, build gratitude houses and provided free health check-ups and treatment to Vietnamese heroic mothers, wounded soldiers, children from policy families and Agent Orange victims with a total money of 500 million VND.
