Similarly, the lives of Khmer ethnic people in An Binh commune have been changed positively. Upon support policies on land, sci-tech transfer, vocational training..., Khmer ethnic people in the commune have developed many production models.

The lives of Cham ethnic people in Minh Hoa commune in Dau Tieng district have been improved in recent years. The model of growing rubber trees has helped the local households considerably improve their income. Kho Sanh, who is charge of Cham ethnic people’s tenets in Minh Thanh commune said that thanks to the local authorities at all levels’ support on loan, sci-tech…, most Cham ethnic people herein have effectively developed agricultural production models, contributing to improving their lives.

Along with economic development, ethnic minority people in Binh Duong have paid more attention to preserving and upholding their traditional cultural identities. Mr.Quan said that the local Fatherland Front Committees at all levels has played an important role in preserving and upholding the traditional cultural features of ethnic minority people. The campaigns of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential areas”, “Building up cultural families”…have contributed to promoting the traditional cultural features of ethnic minority people. San Chi ethnic people’s cultural activities like “festival spraying for good crops” have absorbed a large number of people from other ethnic groups.

Mr.Kho Sang also said that the local Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have taken good care of the lives of Cham ethnic people in Minh Hoa commune on Tet and great holidays. This has helped the local Cham ethnic people have more confidence on the Party and State’s policies and laws, strength solidarity, share experience in production and make cultural exchange activities for better development.

As of now, Binh Duong is home to more than 4,400 ethnic minority households with around 20,600 people under 18 ethnic minority groups, mostly in districts of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, North Tan Uyen, Bau Bang and towns of Tan Uyen, Ben Cat. According to the central criteria, Binh Duong now has no more poor ethnic minority households…
