Local health sector further makes efforts in overcoming difficulties to take better care of people's health

*Provincial leader pays visit to My Phuoc General Hospital on Vietnamese Doctors' Day

Early February 27, provincial Department of Health solemnly held a get-together to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2023). The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

According to provincial health sector, in 2022, although there were many difficulties, the whole sector made efforts to basically fulfill its targets. At the get-together, Mr. Ha expressed his gratitude for the great efforts by the local health sector over the past time. In the coming time, he asked for the sector to further make efforts, overcome difficulties and deploy 3 basic tasks in a synchronous way, including speeding up the completion of provincial project on "Ensuring human resources of health sector to 2025, orientations to 2030”, the project to put the 1,500-bed hospital into operation...; actively advising competent authorities on approving the procurement of drugs, chemicals, biological products, supplies and medical equipment to meet requirements for prevention and treatment; focusing on prevention and control of infectious diseases.

On this occasion, provincial People's Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 6 individuals who have made many outstanding contributions to the local health sector; supported VND50 million for provincial Fund for the Poor from the contributions of cadres, civil servants and workers in the health sector.

*On the morning of the same day, Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice- Chairman of provincial People's Committee visited and congratulated doctors and medical staff of My Phuoc General Hospital in Ben Cat town.

At the event, Mr. Ha quickly informed the hospital’s officials, doctors, and staff of the local socio-economic situation in 2022 while acknowledging contributions by all medical staff in the province in general and at My Phuoc General Hospital in particular in taking care of people's health. He also encouraged all medical staff of the hospital to continue making important contributions to the local cause of public healthcare.
