The province’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services in May was estimated at more than VND11.5trillion, up 0.5% compared to the previous month. The value in the first five months of 2016 reached more than VND57.73trillion, up 21% against last year’s same period. Of these, the domestic investment sector gained nearly VND56trillion, up 21.3% while the foreign investment sector achieved more than VND1.6trillion, up 15.8%.
Since early this year, province-based supermarkets and plazas have carried out a variety of price stabilization programs for essential commodities at locals’ demand. Many promotional programs have also been launched by them to stimulate consumption demand, absorbing a large number of visitors for shopping.
