The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung hosted the 99th meeting to ratify local socio-economic report in Q1, 2011 and set out orientation and task for Q2. Accordingly, the local socio-economic situation in Q1 reached remarkable results with an 18.6% rise in industrial production value, a 20.3% increase in export turnover, a 7.5% surge in budget collection.

Also the quarter, the locality lured additional VND2,387bil from local businesses and US$256mil from foreign ones. Besides, results of social welfare, job placement, education and training and healthcare showed positive changes.

Addressing the meeting, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung said that the locality in Q2 will focus on launching the 13th NA and People’s Council election work, excelling solution groups of inflation control, macro-economic stability. He also asked all level agencies to mobilize capital for investment, pay attention to compensation and site clearance… for key works.
