Many activities bound for women

In the first nine months of this year, the province’s 33 grassroot trade unions established women affairs committees. Until now, the whole province has 1,570 women affairs committees at grassroot trade unions.  

To raise female laborers’ awareness, the women affairs committees have over the past years spurred dissemination work on the Law on Gender Equality; Vietnam General Confederation of Labor’s the national strategy and action plan of gender equality; Vietnam General Confederation of Labor’s Resolution 6b on mobilization work for female laborers in the process of industrialization and modernization and more. 

In addition, the provincial Labor Union held dissemination on improving women’s moral virtues in the process of industrialization and modernization. Especially, on the 84^th founding anniversary of Vietnam Women Union and the 4^th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day, trade unions at all levels held cooking contests, fashion shows, talk-shows and more with the participation of numerous woman laborers.
