From the end of February to March 17, Binh Duong Provincial Health Department has carried out a campaign to give reduced dose of tetanus and diphtheria (Td) vaccine to third graders and eight-year-old children in the community.

Accordingly, the whole province has more than 28,700 children vaccinated with Td vaccine, of which the most are in Di An city with 8,260 children, Thuan An city with 4,000 children, Thu Dau Mot city with 3,790 children... The least number is in North Tan Uyen district with 660 children. During this phase, medical branch carried out rolling injections at 91 fixed injection points in medical stations of communes, wards and townships, and mobile injection sites at schools.

According to the plan, by March 3, medical branch will complete and inject the last time from March 16 to March 17. Note that children who have been vaccinated with tetanus or diphtheria components within 1 month and children who have received reduced-dose tetanus-diphtheria vaccine in the additional immunization rounds in 2020-2022 are not eligible to this injection.

It is known that the campaign to supplement with reduced dose of tetanus - diphtheria vaccine, aims to increase the immunity rate in the community to more than or equal to 95% compared to the young population in age, contributing to reducing the mortality rate in the local area.
