Nearly 300 people in Phu Giao give blood
On March 19, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation in collaboration with Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center held the second humanitarian blood donation stage of 2015.
The blood donation stage absorbed more than 400 people, including officials, teachers and pupils from district-based schools, civil servants and trade unionists. After being checked, 295 people could give blood. The organizers collected a total of 103,250 ml of blood .
It is known that the district’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation this year has set a target of collecting 1,500 units of blood. To achieve the target, the Steering Board will organize 7 voluntary blood donation stages among officials, civil servants, Youth Union members, trade unionists and locals in order to call for them to join hands in helping needy cases.
