Nearly 37,000 Tet gifts presented to disadvantaged people

Provincial Red Cross Society has just reviewed the 2015 program “Tet for the Poor and Agent Orange (AO) Victims.

Reportedly, the program presented nearly 37,000 gifts and 5 “red cross” houses to the poor, the disabled, AO victims, children with difficult circumstances and other needy cases in and out of the province with a total value of approximately VND11.2bln or 131% of the target set out by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

The above gifts were funded by cadres, members and volunteers of the local Red Cross Societies at all levels, donors, charity groups…Although being small, they contributed to taking care of disadvantaged people and helping them enjoy a warm spring.
