Late January 1, the Support Council of provincial Child Support Fund held the 7th provincial program named “Spring with poor children”. 

 Donors presenting symbolic cheques to provincial Child Support Fund

Attending the program were Mai The Trung, Member of the Central Party Committee, Chairman of provincial Party Committee; Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of sectors, departments and mass organizations in the province.

More than 350 children representing nearly 1,200 children with difficult circumstances were presented gifts worth VND500,000 each from the program. Besides, 5 children with extremely difficult circumstances were given VND20mln each from provincial Child Support Fund.

On this occasion, donors subscribed nearly VND2.4bln for provincial Child Support Fund.

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee cum Chairman of the Support Council of provincial Child Support Fund said: “After its 16-year operation, provincial Child Support Fund together with donors paid more attention to disadvantaged children across the province via many significant activities, including providing heart surgery; presenting bicycles, computers, houses of compassion…, with a total expense of nearly VND50bln, thereby opportunely encouraging children and teenagers with difficult circumstances to rise up in life. In the coming time, the Support Council hopes to further receive more attention from individuals and enterprises in and out of the province to help needy children fully uphold their ability in national construction and development.
