Needy people receive Tet gifts

Lai Thieu ward’s Red Cross Society yesterday mobilized Kim Chau jewelry shop in Thuan town to support 80 Tet gifts for families with difficult circumstances (photo). 

It is known that each gift is worth VND250,000, including soya cheese, rice, instant noodle and girdle cakes. Prior to that, Kim Chau jewelry shop also presented 11 Tet gifts to needy members of Thuan An town’s Taichi Association and supported VND30mln for building Red Cross houses.

Kim Chau jewelry shop is one of Thuan An town-based outstanding enterprises in social charity activities. Over the past years, this shop actively got involved in building houses of compassion, giving financial support for some families having members being Agent Orange victims, offering gifts or the poor, visiting and presenting gifts to people hit by natural disasters in the central region.

*On the occasion of the 2014 traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, Kim Oanh Real Estate Joint Stock Company has raised VND100mln for provincial Child Support Fund to take care of children with difficult circumstances. The company has also presented 131 Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each to blind people and former youth volunteers in Ben Cat district.

In a bid to express its responsibility to the society, the company has recently donated 2 tons of rice to poor people in the border region, helping them enjoy a happy Tet. Over the past years, the company actively got involved in social charity activities for the sake of the community, including presenting gifts to the poor, building gratitude and charity houses, offering help to people hit by natural disasters, awarding scholarships to poor pupils, making contributions to the Vu A Dinh scholarship fund…In 2013 alone, the company spent more than VND4bln on social charity activities.
